    4. The workshop taught me many things that would have taken me very long to figure out in Baruch. I learned about all the various services that were offered to students. The workshop accomplished its goals.

    5. I was not taken out of my comfort zone. It was informational and i learned a lot but it did not affect my comfort. I chose this workshop because i needed to fill up my 6.

    6. I did not have any expectations, but it did help a lot. I do recommend it.

    7. I learned about a lot of services that Baruch had to offer. I would only add more information to the goals of the workshop.

I attended the Club Fair. The Club Fair was awesome. It was during club hours during September 24th. I remember so vividly because I saw a lot of my friends there and Gladiola. The Club Fair was exciting even though it was really crowded. I saw many clubs and could not withhold myself from signing up from most of them. I currently still get emails from many clubs including Japan club and the Anime Asylum. They offer free foods to convince me to join their clubs because I’m special and a worthy addition to their party. This event was a bit out of my comfort zone, though, because again of the crowd. I dislike huge crowds especially when I have to rub my buttocks against another persons to move around. I’m a bit of a germaphobe, but despite the uneasiness, I enjoyed the dancing in the back of the gymnasium and the Frat boys recruiting.

The workshop I attended was the Club Fair. This was on Sept. 24. This did not really take me out of my comfort zone but it did show my how many different kinds of clubs there are at Baruch. The only bad thing about it is that its really crowded and it is hard to get to know the club you want form all the pushing and people bumping into you. I did get to find out more about a club called VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance). Which you basically help others do their income tax. I choose this because i want to major in accoutning and i want to get to know what I will be doing. I would recommend this to other student because it is a great way to find what club you want ot join and get to know what kind of people are in that club.

The work shop was by the USG. it was a townhall meeting, where i learned some very interesting things. i didnt plan on going to this workshop, i didnt even know about it, but when i was leaving phiolophy they were coming in and a friend of mine who was going with them said i should stay for free pizza, sinse i already had the student life requirement. I learned quite a deal about the USG, it seems to be a very complex organization, and is broken down into The Senate, And the house or representatives. they were the one responsible for Wlecome Week, and the deal with all clubs.one thing that ii thought was crazy, was that this school has SO many commities. Like wow. The subject of the elevators and escaltors was brought up, and we were told that there is a plan to replace all escalators as im sure we all know by now. Im glad i went to this work shop, really interesting, and YES i recomend others go to this. My name is Javarie lewis and i endorse this message

I went to the workshop on basically money management. PBS and there sister station somewhere up in Toronto and upper New york came to Baruch to teach young children about managing there money. We watched an about 1 hour movie on how to manage your money and it was hosted by Donald Faisson. He was the from Scrubs (Awesome show by the way). Anyway we watched that and learned how to manage our money, putting our needs before wants, what percentage of money I should be saving and using, etc. It was a pretty educating and fun workshop actually. They had pizza and soda there also. Although what sucked was that it was so late. Other than that it was fun. I learned a lot about percentages on credit cards, CD’s (certificate of deposits), and so much more.

The workshop got a collection of clubs from baruch and put them on display for us. the goal was to learn more about some of the many clubs that Baruch provides for us. It didnt really take me out of my comfort zone since I have to deal with a lot of the same pushy club people everyday on the 2nd floor when I’m going to classes. This workshop pretty much put all of those people in the same room. It met my expectations because I’ve been to club fairs and I know exactly what happens at them. I would recommend the workshop to another student since it was full of all sorts of different clubs that someone might want to join, but it was a one time thing. I was really surprised at how childish college is. I had this kind of variety of clubs in highschool and when I came to Baruch I didnt expect there to be the same kind of useless nonsense. I will admit that some clubs are really helpful like the ones that are based on careers but some are just plain out stupid for example the ones that are specific to one race or religion or the Apple club. I learned that a good munber of clubs are useless but when I decide on what career path to take I will be sure to join a good club that caters to those needs.

I attended the Academic Advisement: Student Services Workshop on Tuesday, October 13th at the VC, room 1-107. This workshop allowed us to ask questions about virtually anything at Baruch, from athletics, to studying abroad, and the health center. This workshop was extremely informative, and I got to ask questions about many things I was interested in, and a few new opportunities were introduced to me. I found out that I could go to Japan to study for a semester, a summer, or during the winter break without being fluent in Japanese. I also learned about basketball tryouts and intramural tournaments. The most important thing I learned from this workshop was about the health center and its policies and services. They offer vaccines for students, as well as answering any questions regarding our health we may have. If you missed this workshop, you missed out on a lot of important information.

This workshop is to inform the students the different clubs. This event is to make students leave their comfort zone and to do something unexpected. There were rows of various club, however not all of them were there, which the representatives talk about the different aspects of the club. In the back of the gym, there was the radio club or something because there was a crowd of people surrounding this stand. I selected this event because it allows me to explore the different aspects of Baruch College. Some of the clubs look extremely interesting and I left contact information at many club stands. This was outside my comfort zone because I never signed up for that many clubs and organizations before. This did not meet my expectation because I expected more clubs to be at that event. I would recommend this event to other students because this is the way the students might use the club as a form of networking. I learned that there are clubs for everyone.

I went to the club fair in the gym on 9/24. There were tons of clubs there that i would not have expected. The archery club was really interesting, I wonder where they practice? There were a few clubs that caught my eye, a few being: Finance and Economics society, AISEC, and wall street club. The only way this took me out of my comfort zone was that i had to speak to so many people. It was impossible to walk around there without being solicited by the clubs, so there was no way of avoiding talking to a lot of people. I would recommend this to other students as it is a great way to see the opportunities that are at Baruch.

the workshop that i attended was the Club Fair. its category is student life and it took place on september 24 at 1230. At the club fair i explore many clubs that i could join that would enrich my college experience at baruch and as well as be benefial to me in relation to my resume and in just gaining further knowledge and broadening my horizons about what i may want to pursue. i joined a club called aiesc which is an study abroad internship and is something i am very interested in. this workshop did take me outside my comfort zone because it forced me to ask questions and actively learn about a certain club to get the full idea of it. the club fair met my expectation because i was aware of the fact that baruch had so many clubs and not all of them were simply educational they were a means of socializing and gettin more comfortable with our present environment. i would recommend for other students to go to learn more about the college itself. i learned that you should be active in your school to get the best out of it, and joining clubs is a great way to do so.
