Student Services Fair

The academic enrichment workshop that i attended on 10/13/09 was the “Student Services Fair”.  The workshop was basically for the students, who could go around the room and learn about more specific things about Baruch. The students had to go to ten tables and listen to what was being said about that specific aspect aboutBaruch. The goal was to be more familiar with the school and be more comfortable with the various organizationssuch as Starr. I selected this particular workshop because i thought that i could get more familiar with the school and learn more about it. I wanted to know about the resources that are available to us within Baruch. It took me out of my comfort zone because i was overwhelmed with all the different resources that are available for us to use. There wereso many things and so many new people. It was weird because i never had this in my high school. I would definitely recommend this to another student because this would help the student understand better the resources that are within Baruchinstead of wondering what it is. I learned that the medical office is on the other side of the library, which i never knew before. I also found out that the Starr center could help me with almost anything that i have trouble with which is pretty cool.
