Community-Global awareness – Film Series – My Beautiful Laundrette (10/16/09, 2:50PM)

I had been advised that this was the final Community-Global awareness workshop available for the coming months, so I had went out of my way to make a trip on a Friday without class. I had been been running about 10 minutes late and was worried I would not be let inside. But I was both relieved and confused when I had entered the room expecting to interrupt a movie only to find nothing showing. I sat for about 15-20 minutes until it was announced the equipment required to view the movie wasn’t available, so the workshop was therefore canceled. My first reaction to this was not a good one, I thought I had wasted a trip, until she had announced she would sign our passports for showing up. This had pleased me. Since no movie was actually shown, a lot of my time was saved.
