The workshop i went to was the 20th anniversary of the fall of the wall on 11/5 from 5 to 6:30. The workshop was practically an explanation from those that were on both sides of the Berlin wall when it was first put up to the time when it came down and how peoplelived on each side. The speakers talked about how the west side was different the east side of Berlin and how that changed their lives and their opinions of the situation and how it affected their lives and family. I took this particular workshop because I thought it would be cool to see what happened when friends and family that you regularly know are separatedand made to survive on their own. It took me out of my comfort zone because it enlightened me to what happened and how hard it is to not be with your family for comfort. I would recommend this to another student because it was very interesting and exciting for me. It added some depth to what i previously thoughtabout the fall of the Berlin wall. I learned alot from this workshop such as what it takes to help a family survive in dire times and what one has to go through to survive a war within their own borders.
