On September 17, 2009 i went to this Academic Enrichment Worskshop. When i first arrived on the fifth floor, where the workshop wa located, my first impression waw “Oh my G-d, that line is huge!” It never occured to me how many freshman there are and that we all need to get the same task done. When I got on line, I met a few people who automatically began complaining about how long the line was and how pointless they think blogging and getting signatures is.Once we finally entered the room, I saw one woman being swarmed by hundreds of students all trying to get her signature. She briefly explained what was in the small packet the advisors provided us with and then began signing everyone’s planners. HOnestly, I think this whole process was although useful, was unorganized. After a certain amount of students came in they stopped letting others in because they did not have any more folders. I think since post cards were sent out to students homes then they should have been more prepared for the large number of students attending. Despite that, I will defineitely be visiting the office of advisement in order to figure out this whole confusing process of picking a major, minor and other classes that I will need to take.
