On Tuesday, November 3, I attended the Arts At Baruch workshop that was entitled “Mercedes Matter: A Retrospective.” It was located at 135 East 22nd Street and lasted from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
This workshop was actually a gallery tour of very abstract paintings where you really had to search for pieces within it to figure out what the painting actually was of, or of what it could be. The artist who painted them is named Mercedes Matter.
It was a very short workshop. It was kind of hard to stay interested because there were too many kids crowding around the woman who was our tour guide who was explaining the paintings to us.
However, I thought it was interesting from what I got out of it.
