On Tuesday I attended the stress relief workshop which satisfies the personal enrichment section of freshman seminar. This was an interesting workshop because it focused on being calmand stay stress free. We started out the workshop by smellig,tasting, and touching a raisin. I have done this before in psychology and knew what to expect. The outcome was a more hightened Sense of aware of what you eat. The proctor wanted us to get a sense of mindfulness with this experiment. We then moved on to learning how to be assertive using the acronym dearman. Using dearman would be useful in many cases such as asking for a raise from your boss. Before we left we had a muscle relaxation session. I believe that this is a very beneficial workshop. It shows me that there are ways to be calm and stress free even with all the work that I have to do. It was worth goin to.
