On September 17, I attended the Freshman Reception workshop. It was the most chaotic workshop I been to. When we arrived, there was a huge crowd outside the Center for Academic Advisement. As we entered the office, someone was handing out folders that contained some information about the workshop. I was one of the last person to get a folder. After several minutes standing inside the crowded office, an advisor appeared. She said she did not expect this many people to attend and were not totally prepared. She borrowed my folder and did a quick run down of what each sheet was about. Then she started signing people’s passports. Overall, I was not satisfied with this workshop. I did not learn much about what was in the folder because it was went over very briefly. I felt that the advisor rushed when she was explaining it and wanted to get rid of everyone. I wouldn’t blame her because I could barely breathe because there were so many people.
