Academic Enrichment Workshop

Last Friday, I attended the Freshmen Reception in room 215 on the 5th floor.  This reception was meant for us to meet our advisors, who would be there to help us with our future. It was also meant for us to learn what we do with our minors and if we needed to drop a class. The only problem with the reception was  there were too  many people. This cause the reception to end early. We were suppose to get a paper so we could declare our major and minor, but unfortunately they didn’t have enough.

From the time I was there, It was a good experience. I learn who I could go to if I have problem with my classes or if I have a question. I won’t lie that I wasn’t looking forward to getting out of there, but I did learn some important things. Right now I have a better understanding of the school and how it works. I know that there are people here who care where I end up. That is a good thing to know.  The one thing that made me sad is, I didn’t get my free cookie!
