On Thursday, October 29th I attended the Basic Interviews Techniques workshop in room 1-107. The instructor told us about all the opportunities we had to prepare for job/intern interviews. She mentioned that they had people to help you out with your resume and even have taped mock interviews. We also had the opportunity to interview other freshman at the workshop. She explained what males and females should/should not wear to an interview. The instructor also demonstrated the proper way to shake someone’s hand. I didn’t find any of these tips helpful only because I was lucky enough to learn them in high school. Had I not known these tips prior to the workshop, it would be very informative. I would most definitely recommend it to those who have not been informed in proper etiquette at an interview.
