For career exploration, I went to a workshop for basic interviewing skills. This workshop actually helped me a lot. My interviewing skills are horrible, as I hate formal wear and my serious tone is quite well….not serious. This workshop helped me tweek on how I should act in an interview. First and foremost, wear formal wear, but don’t be too flashy about it. Research about the job your going for. You want to show the person you care, and that you made the effort to know what the job is about. Maintain eye contact and be confident, and most importantly, SELL YOURSELF. You want to make them know what your about, and that you’ll get the job done above and beyond. Make sure they end the interview, not you. Basically, confidence is the key. I really enjoyed this workshop, and plan on attending more like it.
