This workshop was both complicated and useful. The database survival workshop was the steps and guides to learning how to use baruch’s library’s database. Their database consisted of finding everything from a news article to books on many different topics. The researcher went through search, advanced search and how to dumb down the process of searching for research articles. Also Baruch’s archives are one to envy because their many different choices that gives the students access to hundreds of books that are within the cuny library system. Also, there is a phone number that gives you access to a 24 hour librarian that is always there to help. I know many student would rather choose to google information for their research papers but once you get the hang of using Baruch’s library’s databse, you will find yourself finding the best research out there. I would definitely recomment this workshop to everyone because it is a useful tool to be able to find accurate and credible information for college.
