1. Managing Relationships at Baruch
2. Personal Enrichment
3. Thurs. Oct 8 12:45 – 2PM
4. The goal of this workshop was to remind Freshman that college is different from high school and one must learn to manage his or her own relationships. They talked about the various types of relationships that exist and how we should handle each one. Healthy relationships were also contrasted with detrimental relationships.
5. I was going to go to this workshop on Oct. 6 but that got canceled so I decided to attend it on Oct. 8 instead. It sounded like an interesting topic because relationships are something that exists in everyone’s lives. It did not take me out of my comfort zone because I enjoyed identifying my own relationships, with the ones they were talking about.
6. I did not have much expectations for the workshop but it turned out to be pretty good. I would recommend this to other students, especially if they need help managing their relationships. Either way, everyone can learn something from this because we can all relate to it.
7. I learned about the different relationships that exist: family, friends, romantic, professional, etc. It is good to be aware and find a place for each of the relationships that are in one’s life. It is also important not to let any relationship take control of one’s life and overshadow every other relationship.
