4. This workshop was about what one should and shouldn’t do at an interview. The goal of the workshop was to give advice to students on how to act at an interview. In addition, the STARR career center was discussed and how students can get help in writing resumes and even attend video-taped mock interviews.
5. This was the last workshop I had to do and so I chose this one because all of the descriptions for the career exploration workshops sounded similar. It did not take me out of my comfort zone because I pretty much already knew everything that they discussed. I have already heard about the STARR center, many times during Freshman seminar class.
6. I did not have much expectations for this workshop because I was just glad to finally be done with all these workshops. I would recommend it to students if they are interested in learning more about the STARR center. The center is usual for many reasons, besides just find internships.
7. In the workshop I was reminded that the STARR center offers career aptitude tests, which can be helpful in choosing a major. Although I pretty much know what I want to do, the tests can help me decide if I am making the proper choices. I plan to make an appointment with the STARR center soon, in order to use the resources they offer.
