Today, november 5th at 5pm, I attended a workshop on the 8th floor concerning the berlin wall. I hate history lectures but the teachers and guest speakers made the information interesting to me. After a short half hour film, they spoke about the different cultures on each side of the Berlin wall and how the east and the west were in a clashing time period. The main point of the workshop, I think, was to make students aware of all the different perspectives of events in world history. One of the guest speakers actually lived in germany when the wall was built and he was only 8 years old. His parents were concerned with trying to leave. Over all it was a great informative workshop. The pretzels and soda werent too bad either scince I rushed to the workshop from a 4 o clock XC practice at central park……
