Sophia…

During class, we were given case Vignette number 2. It talks about this selfish girl named Sophia who refused to cooperate with her group members. When she was requested by other members to meet up during the weekends, she claimed that she can do whatever during her free time. She also diliberately ignored their messages and emails. At the end, she droped the class without saying a word, leaving her group in misery.

It was mentioned that Sophia worked 30 hours a week. In other words, she actually had a legitimate excuse to tell her group. I believe that if she at least learns to open up a little and share whatever her crcumstance was with her group, things would be alot easy to deal with.  I am pretty sure that her group won’t penalize her or anything if during the weekends, she absoulutely had to work to support her family. All in all, Sophia’s situation maybe understandable; however, she was wrong on her own part for not responding to the messages and emails she received.

One Response to Sophia…

  1. Junior says:

I like the way you put yourself in Sophia’s shoe, bringing to light the other side of the story. You are right about her circumstances, it is just a matter of her knowing better and taking the right actions.
