math ti89 calculator workshop

hi, on 9/3/09 i attended the math ti89 calculator workshop, i attended this workshop for my own personal enrichment. i felt taking a math course in college that requires the use of a ti89 calculator should be taught how to be used, which is the reason for attending this workshop. my goal for this workshop was to learn how to use the calculator correctly and know thw function on almost every button on it. the time this workshop took place was 12:30-2:30 and took time away from my break, however i felt it was worth the sacrafice and important. i felt this workshop met my needs and expecttations and was taught very well, and i strongly reccommend this workshop to any one in a 2003 math course and you will learn to use important functions that this calculator can do. i didnt know how to use this calulator at all walking in however coming out of this class i learned alot and many important buttons and tricks that this calculator can do.

Blogging Guideline on Workshops: my example.

More details and the complete FRO workshops list can be found here.

1, 2. Event Name and Type:
Freshman Seminar Peer Mentor Training

3. Event Time:
August 25th, 2009 T

4. Workshop goal:
Learn the goals of Peer Mentoring and how to accomplish them in an orderly fashion with the new students.

5. Why I Went:
I chose to be a Peer Mentor because it is a great opportunity. Plus, I’ll be able to meet all you awesome people 🙂 . This is a continuing work and it will take me out of my comfort zone because I would have to face many different people and develop my communication skills. I still think it will be rewarding working for TEAM Baruch.

6. What Did I Expect From The Workshop:
My expectations are fairly high for this coming fall. I know we will all grow as people, so one goal has been achieved already. This program is definitely worth trying out for–you never know what doors may open for you, so walk in while you can.

7. What Did I Learn:
What I have learned so far is a few strategies in dealing with conflict. I have yet to use them and hope it will never have to come down to that.

Anyway, get your happy 😀
