Being from a school of about 4,000 students and multple ethnicities Baruch in that sense isn’t much different from my high school. But the major difference is that in high school is the work load wasn’t nearly as much. There was rarely any work for me so I would spend most of my time hanging out and playing sports after school. In my schedule now I have a 2 1/2 hour break twice a week, which in high school there would be 5 minutes to get to your next class. But what I miss most about high school is all my friends that I’ve known since middle school and just having class with them. Coming from a zoned school nearly all of the kids where from the neighborhood. I would see most of them walking around, going out at night or seeing them at the parks playing sports. Ahhh the good ole’ days, but time has come for a change and im fortunate that I’ve had such a great high school experince and it’s just time to move on up.
How are you using your 2 1/2 hour breaks and managing the workload for you different classes now?
