Interviewing (10/29)

Thursday,  I went to a workshop on interviewing. The speaker talked about a little bit of everything, from the resume to the thank you letter. She even talked about the type of clothes to wear for an interview. This was a helpful workshop. The most helpful part was when she talked about the dreaded question, “Tell me about yourself,” and the most effective way to answer this question.

Today i went to a library workshop and i found it very helpful. I learned that i can check if a website is a reliable source by going to a website named “samspade.org”. Also the lady doing the workshop was very helpful with any questions i had about finding books and articles and the newman library.

This post is for the Gallery tour i went to today. I liked the tour because the tour guide was very informative and and the art i seen was interesting. I wish there was more to see at the gallery but the work that was there was very nice.

I also went to this workshop and i found in very helpful in what to say and how to be prepared during an interview. I found it very helpful because befor the workshop i did not know it was a good idea to write a thank you note. Also it gave me a good sense of how to dress and and not to dress. I feel that the mock interview we did during class was an excellent way of practicing how to conduct an interview.
