I attended the workshop “Using the Web”, in the library today. It was helpful. The leader explained different ways to use the internet for research. She showed how to maximize search engine efficiency by using advanced search. She showed us some web directories. Also, she demonstrated using some databases available to Baruch students. Sometimes its is necessary to verify a website’s authenticity and we were given tips on how to check. It was a good workshop on how to get the full benefit of the internet for research.
