Art gallery

I attended the art gallery at Baruch in the Sidney Mishkin Gallery on 22nd street. It was a last minute decision but I’m glad I went. The lady who was showing us the art of Mercedes Matter was very informative and explained herself well. I am glad I went because like the director said, art is used in business. Many people think that art has no use in the business world but people use art to advance themselves and to relate to whom they want to make a business deal with. For example, a person may take another to an art gallery or concert hall in order to try to convince them to support the business.  This also shows that a person is very versatile and a business person needs to be open to all cultures and subjects in order to relate to most people.
I found that Mercedes Matter was very elaborate and colorful with her art and it also reflected the time in which she created her paintings.
