One more week

Ugh! One more week until midterms. There is so much information that I need to take in before I take my tests. This week will be very difficult especially considering that I have TWO history type classes. The all dates and the information are a lot to take it in. This will be a challenge, but I guess I am up for it. I just hope I am not too ahead of myself and I will do well on these test. Well at least I know my presidents :-(. . .

Academic Success

The class on Academic Success last monday was very comforting. It is good to know that my classmates have many of the same problems that I am having. I also realized that it is important to participate. Participation does make boring classes easier to endure. Although I am not very open to speaking in class it is something that I will try to work on.

week 5?

This week was not much different from most. I do not mean this is a negative way; it was just simply the ‘same’. Fro was actually interesting because I was able to listen to what other students think of our block. It is comforting because a lot of us share similar likes as well as dislikes.

well this week

Well i forgot to go to a workshop this week but last week i went to the club fair in the gym. There were so people there. The line to get in was outragously long. Besides that a few of the clubs and organizations caught my attenion. The Tinker was one just for the simple fact that they gave away shot glasses that said ” the 18th most stone cold sober college.” Can you say oximoron? The handball manics awoken in me to go play some handball again for the first time in a very long time. I’ll probably go and try the tourament in November to see where i end up against others at Baruch. Also im going to take salsa lesson from the latin ballroom group. Its a shame I’m Puerto Rican and I can’t dance salsa. Also picked up a few things from the fair like the shot glass and other free things. Lets hope i go to a work shop this week

Baruch

So far, I’m definitely not liking Baruch. I’m transferring to Hunter at the end of this semester because Baruch is way too business-oriented for me. I hate everything involving business and am a lot more into the arts, so this isn’t really a good fit for me. Didn’t really have anything else to blog about, so I hope that works.

Library tour

A little late but the library tour was great. I learned a lot of things that I didn’t know. This past week I put one of the things I learned in use, which was borrowing an calculator. I’m happy that we have Freshmen Orientation class because it helps us get situated in our classes, resources as well as making college fun and enjoyable.

Baruch so far. . . I guess

Well so far, the school is fine. I don’t really have any really bad problems, which will definitely change over the course of my years here. The one problem so far, which my classmates might agree on, is English. I never really liked English and this class, no offense, is making it worse. Another problem I had going into Baruch was making friends. I am not really open and talkative when I am place in a group of people I never met before. This problem was solved though when I decided to join a club, which is awesome :-).

Baruch

I have mixed feelings about Baruch so far. This is my first blog because my username was not working. It’s about a month into my first semester. I’ve met a few cool people but since its a commuter school it doesn’t have quite the “college” atmosphere i was looking for. I’ve just moved to NY a little over a year ago and I was hoping college would be an easy way to meet some people.  Also my professors are a little suprising, my english teacher doesn’t speak that well of english and in my remedial math class I can’t ask questions.
