The club fair was crowded; I could see the line starting all the way from the turnstile, so I had decided to sit it out until later, when it won’t be as crowded. So I ate lunch and head down to a much shorter line. They were handing out free subway maps, and that was nice and the entrance to the gym had a person signing the passport so we stood there for a while.
That was how the recruiters from the Ticker found us. They didn’t have a table in the area, so we wrote our info using the guy’s back. My friend and I walked around, having lost the rest of original group and found our way to the Japan society club which we had already signed up for earlier in the week. Although it doesn’t stop them from giving us brochures and pamphlets. We wandered around some more, signing up for clubs like the Movie Makers Club, Billiards and Bowling, the literary magazine, and some of their clubs that I don’t recall. Overall it was really hectic and I wanted to try the red velvet cake at MM Club but due to dental problems couldn’t. And then we left. I wonder if these clubs would seriously email us back. Or would it be like the Job Fair, where we don’t hear from them for weeks.
