Baruch Library

Sometimes when you can’t study at home because of all the distractions around you, going to the library might be just what you need.

After going to the Baruch library, what do you guys think of it and the many resources that it has to offer? In your opinion, what aspect of the library do you find the most useful and why? (Example: study rooms, computers, burrowing laptops, printers, study areas, books…) So far, what have you used the library?

I enjoy going to the library because it’s a good place to study and rest. Especially the rooms where you can study in private. I have been there to use computers and sit during break. I mostly go there to look for friends during my lunch. Previous to our library tour I had been there before and I think our library is pretty good. The books we need are available and there are lots of computers to use. There are sofas that most of us sleep on and many tables for us to sit one. I think the most useful aspect of the library is the atmosphere. The library is very quiet, calming and peaceful

The library is my place of zen. I dont have many distractions at home, so i usually study there, but when i do study in the library I find my time spent there to be extremely productive. Ive used the study rooms in preparation for a test and it provided me and my classmates with an optimal environment for learning. There are several resources such as laptops, journals, magazines, and computers that are all available to students. The library is a huge asset for Baruch and its benefits for students are invaluable.

I love the library. I love how there are so many floors of just space to study. I find it easier to study in the library than studying at home since there are less distractions. Looking at people studying also helps me to be more encouraged and focus on my studies. I go to the library almost every day whether it is just waiting for a class to start, or just studying in between my class breaks. I also like how there are many computers around to just do work, or check your facebook. This is helpful to me when I need to figure out something quickly if I don’t have my laptop on me.

Baruch’s library is great! Its very large, clean, organized, and puts you in the mood to do your work and study. The environment is very comfortable and there is barely any noise. The staff is very helpful and enthusiastic to help. I’ve been to the library to do English homework and the library really helped me. All the resources that the library offers like laptops, text books, calculators is very convienient except for the fact that they disapear very quickly if you need to borrow them for the whole semester but they are always there for daily use.

The library is one of my favorite things at Baruch. If you need any book you can go there, if you need to study for a test you can take a cubicle and study with peace and quiet. If you need to print something from the computer than you can do that also. The best part of everything is that you can even rent a laptop for free, it makes life so much easier to have a computer with you and not having to buy one is great.

I think that the library has so many resources, the top two floors are really quiet with the glass doors for really intense reading or concentrating. If I were to try to study at my apartment I would not get as much done and I would get too distratcted. I also really appreciate the reserve because if it was not there I would have to pay around 175 for my French books. I hadn’t really noticed the laptop borrowing until I broke my own laptop and really needed one to do some work overnight. So overall library offers a lot of things you just have to find out what things you need.

i absolutely love the baruch library because it gets me in the mood to ACTUALLY want to study! its such a peaceful place, rather than being at home with the tv in my face and so many distractions. Its a really convenient library with almost everything available to help you, whether its a laptop to borrow, or study rooms, etc. I already started going to the library on my spare time.

I think the Baruch library provides a lot of resources and is very convenient. It has many study areas, laptops and computers. The library is quiet for the most part, which makes it easier to study. I think the most useful parts of the library are the study areas. I used the study area on the third floor where I rented the laptop to study and complete my homework. The library is good to go on breaks to complete homework assignments rather than spend the break time doing useless things.

Baruch’s library is close by and convenient if you ever need to access anything before/after class. I find the study areas to be useful since the environment is quiet therefore I can get a lot of work done without any disturbances. So far I’ve used their reading area to catch up on sleep during breaks and their study areas to do homework online. I plan on using the printers in case I ever forget to print something at home or if I do research in school.

I have been to the Baruch library a few times so far and I think it offers many useful resources. My favorite aspect of the library is the study room. I think the rooms provide students with the ability to study together and to not be distracted by everybody and everything else around them. Also the abundance of computers is very helpful because most of our homework assignments are on them. Borrowing laptops saves a lot of trouble for those of us who don’t have one to bring to school. It lets us quickly type up our notes during class and access pertinent information during class discussions.
