Ethics Workshop 9/30

Early today I attended a workshop for Ethics. I learned that ethics is based on a persons morality so it differs between everyone. There’s no clear distinction between right and wrong, it’s not black and white. We make these ethical decisions based on our influence from our parents, friends, media, etc. We were given various situations and we had to decide on what we would do. For example: If you were a teacher and one of your students is a single parent who works part time and they earned a ‘D’ in your class but s/he needs a ‘C’ to maintain their academic scholarship would you give them a C because of their situation? There were other situations like this and the class was usually split on what they thought was ethical. We also spoke about plagiarism and how that ties in with ethics. I enjoyed this workshop because it required everyone to participate and it was interesting.
