Today, in room 3-215 was a workshop called Impressions Managements. it was headed by the STARR career development center and it taught us the do’s and don’ts of what is correct in how to approach a new job and any specific interviews. I found this workshop to be very helpful because it made me think about my future and any future experices I have in the job world. It made me become more aware of how “cyber dirt” and Google will actually hinder my prospects of getting a job if I am not well prepared and have a good outlook on my life and how others see it. It taught me that even though you can have a great first impression there might also be a bad impression on you even before you go to the interview if you have bad “press” going around. With this we learned to always look approachable in every situation so that you dont look like a mean person and that you can handle anything without putting a sour face on.
