During this workshop they taught us how to “ace” an interview. We were handed a packet which had a lot of info such as sample questions interviewers might ask, how to dress, what we should do before an interview and other helpful tips. The packet will help people prepare for similar questions when they are really asked them and how we can learn about the company before the actual interview. We had a mock interview with the person who sat next to us and they gave us their opinion how we could improve. The guest speaker gave us a lot of useful information for example, she told us a story about when she was going in for a job interview and she was in the elevator with her interviewer. The purpose of her telling us that, was to inform us about how we should always present ourselves in a positive light and also an interview doesn’t begin when you sit in the chair but actually once you step inside the building. You should also be 30 minutes early to the building and 15 minutes early into the office. Rule of thumb is that, “Early is on time, on time is late, and late is unacceptable.”
