The “Internship and Goal Setting” workshop presented by the STARR Career center seemed to be the most informative workshop yet. During the workshop they presented us with little booklets that cover almost everything on how to intern and the entire process of where and how to begin and what to do to get to your ideal internship. The most important thing our was presenter said was to to visit the STARR center and sit with an adviser especially if we have any questions about internships and resumes. We discussed the different types of internships like paid vs unpaid, and the competition that comes with each internship, as well as the importance of networking and the “linked-in” website. I found this workshop incredibly important and useful especially with my business major.
