I attended the Personal Enrichment Workshop on October 8, 2009 and the purpose of it was to tell us how important it is to make and keep relationships with peers and others. In college, actually anywhere, we will interact with people every day of our life. Therefore, we are always creating and developing relationships with people we meet and know. Relationships are important no matter what kind it is. Having a business relationship with someone can lead to a future internship/job. Relationships with new partners can lead to having significant others, relationships with professors can help the learning process, relationships with older peers can help with tips and advice. For relationships to work well, you have to put effort into them, they also must continually develop and grow. This workshop made me realize how important and helpful it is to keep and manage relationships while in college.
