I attended the Managing Relationships Workshop (Personal Enrichment Workshop) on October 8, 2009 and I thought it was okay. The speaker was trying to help us manage different types of relationships at a commuter college environment. We talked about family relationships, friendships, and romantic relationships in college. This took me out of my comfort zone because I was required to meet 10 different students and get their names/majors. I had to talk about my family relationships with my friends. This workshop met my expectations because it encouraged me to build important relationships in Baruch, despite the fact that I live out of state. I learned that I should avoid being the student that doesn’t have a college life outside of classes.
