Baruch Library Visit

Two weeks have already passed since the first day of college. Starting from my first day in college, I knew that the experience was going to be totally different from high school. The surroundings seemed so foreign to me at first with new faces, new professors and most importantly a new environment. I felt uneasy at first about this whole new experience but thankfully for our peer mentor, Jane who’s always so friendly and bubbly she made the experience easier for me. This past Tuesday she took us to a tour of the library and my first reaction was that of awe. I was amazed at the sheer size of it and the amount of books the library had. The library always seemed to be bustling with activity. Jane was really helpful during the process telling us how to self check out books which is really useful so that we don’t have to wait on line. Also, she told us how to check out textbooks and calculators which is really useful in case we needed them a certain day. She also showed us how to take out laptops which certainly appealed to me. I was impressed by the library overall.
