This past Tuesday, Jane Odartey, our peer mentor, took our class on a tour of the William and Anita Newman Library, which I found to be very helpful. Jane taught us how to utilize the library in our best benefit. She informed us on how to check out a book, and also let us know that we are able to rent rooms, calculators, and even laptops. In my high school library, it was very difficult to get some studying done because it was basically a place people went to when they were bored and just wanted to have some fun. I can tell already that this library will be a tremendous help to me if I want to have a successful four years at Baruch College. Now I know I have somewhere to go to where it’s quiet and I can study for my classes. Another thing I found important was the amount of employees in the library because as a freshmen, I am sure I am going to have many questions and it is good to see that there are many people that can assist me with my questions.
Really glad you see the library in this light. I like your post!
Keep up the good work Jon.!!!
