Club Fair

During Thursday, September 24, 2009, Baruch held a club fair from 12 to 2:30 PM. As I walked in, students filled up the entire place and were all anxiously waiting to get in. Once I got in, the atmosphere was crowded but yet none the less amazing. Music was blasting throughout the gym. Students were laughing, chattering and shouting out their club’s name. Plenty of snacks and refreshment was handed out. All the students were very helpful and friendly. Each station had a different and specific purpose that can interest people from any culture or diversity. There were sororities/fraternities, ballroom dancing, culture groups, breast cancer awareness clubs, advertising and accounting clubs and many more. Each group told us informative details and handed out flyers for upcoming events that students can take a chance and participate in. I am planning to attend some of these meeting, such as WIB-Women in Business and ACAS, an advertising club, to see what I am interested in. This was a fun workshop and I definitely enjoyed it. It was a great opportunity for people to meet friends and learn about different clubs that Baruch offers. Joining a club not only let you meet new people, it also helps students learn how to interact with each other more freely and openly and will be a great help toward us in our future career.
