Baruch College held it’s annual fall Club Fair on Thursday, September 24, 2009 in the main gym from 12:30-2:30 PM. There were numerous club members and officials present at the fair in order to inform other students about their clubs. Many clubs offered refreshments to interested students and passed out flyers about their club hours and upcoming events. The club fair gave students the opportunity to gain more knowledge about the clubs at Baruch and help decide what personal interest they want to pursue. There were Honor Societies, ethnically based clubs, volunteer programs, business-oriented clubs, sororities, ballroom dancing clubs, archery club, and many more. The clubs portrayed the diversity Baruch exemplifies and showed students that there is truly a club for everyone. I am planning to join Keep a child alive organization which provides aid such as medication and health care to the children and their families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa. In addition, I am also looking forward to attending the meetings and events hosted by ASCEND and Golden Key International Honor Society. The club fair met my expectations because the representatives from each club were friendly and passionate.
