Today, Wednesday September 30Th,2009 i attended an ethics workshop on the third floor in room 210. I was excitedto see that not many people had showed up, allowing me to be more involved and say whats on my mind more often. In this workshop we first brought up several cases and depending on what you thought was more ethical determined what side of the room you would soon be standing on. After this exercise we were given a handout about plagiarism, that was something that will benefit me as long as I continue my career at Baruch College. As the workshop came to a closing we were left with one more handout to discuss. We were split in to groups to discuss two situations. These two situations were about helping someone out in a life or death situation although what needed to be done was illegal. Another one was deciding who could come on a life boat that fit 6 people. Having to kill of four people, one of them possibly being pregnant was not an easy task. We later discussed it all together and valued many other opinions. I was very pleased with this workshop and without a doubt it was the most fascinating one I have been to yet.
