On October 8, 2009 I went to a personal enrichment workshop called “Managing Relationships.” The workshop took place from 12:45 to 2:00 p.m. in room 1-107 of the Vertical Campus. When I first got there it was crowded and filled with students. When the speaker got everyone’s attention, we discussed relationships with our family, friends, etc. At first a lot of students including myself found it boring, because most of the things that we talked about we had already known. However I still think it was a good and effective workshop because even though we talked about things we already knew, it was good to remind ourselves how to manage our time so we can manage our relationships. We also discussed that it is important to network and be socially active. As business students its good for us to make these connections since it will benefit us in our careers. After this workshop I realized that joining a club would be a good way to meet new people as well as network.
