OnĀ Sunday, October 11, 2009, I went to the Avon Breast Cancer Walk where our cheering squad was located on Bryant Park. It was a sunny day and a great day to attend the walk. There were many people there and there was a lot of excitement. There were a lot of people wearing pink to show support, along with pompoms and speakerphones. Everybody that walked by showed courage and will to fight breast cancer. It was great seeing that a lot of people went, not only them, but many of the people in my freshman seminar group also. It was a great chance to get to know each other a bit more through cheering for others. In addition to the Avon Breast Cancer Walk, I would recommend others to also participate in the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer walk as well because I also walk for that one. Not only that I would recommend others to join the other walks that fights for cancer like the Aids Walk or the March of Dimes.
