Avon Breast Cancer Walk

On October 11, 2009, I woke up at 6 a.m. to get ready for the Avon Breast Cancer Walk. The reason for I had to wake up early is because I take three different public transportations in order for me to get to Byrant Park, where the Avon Breast Cancer Walk took place. Although I had to wake up early on a Sunday morning, I was very excited as I was getting ready since this is the first time I have ever participated in an Avon walk. When I arrived at the park, along with a few other colleagues, we went to the cheer stand that was assigned to our block. We stayed there and cheer from 9:45am to 12:00pm looking at the people walking hours and hours, yet still smiling as they become closer to their destination. I was very affected by their enthusiasm and found them very respectable for they have come together to achieve a common goal. This experience is definitely memorable and I will recommend others to get involved with the Avon Breast Cancer Walk in the future since it is a fun experience and they will not regret taking part in it.
