Freshman Reception

I attended the Freshman Reception on September 17th. Well attended probably is not the right word. I was there, yes but so were approximately 2000 other people, which made things very difficult considering it took place in a fairly confined space. The idea of the reception was to inform us about the many things that go on at Baruch and to get us more familiarized with the way the school works. On a smaller scale I am sure that I would have benefitted greatly from this workshop but because the areas in which they explained things were so small and way too crowded it was difficult to hear the speakers let alone understand them. This was a workshop that I regret attending because I could have attended one that was more education for me, and I hope that next year they will improve this by either splitting it between a couple of days or having it in a bigger area like the gym or Mason Hall.
