On October 8, 2009, I attended a workshop called Managing Relationships. This was by far the best workshop that I had attended. We were lectured on how to handle the many relationships that we encounter during college. I was able to relate to many of the issues talked about because they affect me on a daily basis. We learned how to handle relationships between our parents, boyfriend/girlfriend, and new friends. Your daily schedule is much more different than that of high school. We do not have class 5 days a week, and we start class at different times during the day. You might also spend much more time studying and being away from home to get your work done, which may bring about issues with family, and intimate relationships. The best part of the workshop was undoubtedly the part where we had to meet new people. I met three new people named; Nikola, Sayem, and Albina. We were explained that it is very important to make new friends and to network because it will help us get a job after high school. Overall I thought this was a very good workshop, and I think this has helped me distinguish how to handle my relationships in college.
