Avon Breast Cancer Walk

On October 11, I got on a pink polo shirt and headed off to Bryant Park. I was going to the Avon Breast Cancer Walk, one of the many walks organized to help raise money to cure breast cancer. I was running late and was traveling there by train. On the train I decided to call in and make sure everything was ok. I called Jane and she told me that they could not cheer; it was completely unorganized. Apparently there were not really stations and the cheering of those participating in the walk was simply all over the place. What made this an experience for me was not actually going halfway and leaving, but rather thinking about these types of things. I began to think of subjects such as fund raisingĀ  andĀ  charity, and it allowed me to put it into perspective and see what I thought of it. I really hope to participate in events similar to this, as well as contribute to charities later on in life.
