On November 12th, 2009 I attended a Career workshop that taught the students what to look for when trying to accomplish a interview. The speaker was an advisor from the STARR center within Baruch and gave us personal experience on what she realized as she had more interviews with others. I learned the inside basics of interviewing and what to do for an interview beforehand. There were not alot of people in the workshop but that was due to the many career workshops during the month. The workshop was insightful and helped enlighten various questions about interviews that many people had. The workshop could have had more personal experience than slides because the experiences the speaker told us were more insightful than the slides that were being shown as she speak. That is my opinion however. Overall, the workshop was helpful and the speaker told the students that there was an advanced workshop continuing the interview topic and also the services that the STARR center provides tot he students.
