Freshmen Reception

This past Thursday afternoon, September 17, I attended the Freshmen Reception. After concluding my last class of the day, I was on my way to the fifth floor where I was met by hundreds of other students waiting for their entry to the workshop. The faculty definitely underestimated our attendance and did not expect that many students to be there. It was so crowded that the event had to be moved to an additional room so that there would be an adeqaute amount of space for students to actually move, and most of all to participate. We were told that this year the Freshmen Reception attendance had by far exceeded that of previous years. The faculty were extremely kind and helpful, informing  us on some general key points that were crucial for graduating. They also gave us critical information regarding GPAs and and information on the school in general. Overall, this workshop was very beneficial and informative, and the faculty did a great job to keep it that way, considering the full-house situation.
