Starting in Baruch was an experience not so new to me. Meeting new people, new faces and a different environment was something very familiar. I was uneasy about the entire experience but the FRO class made it easier. Same along with the events that were made for that class. Last Tuesday, our peer mentor, Jane Odartey, took us on a short trip to the William Anita library across the street from the main building that we usually entered. It wasn’t our first time there but we did not know all the facts about the library. Jane graciously told us of all the possible actions to be done in the library, from the reading zone, to accessing computers and even borrowing books. She gave us hints on certain areas of the library using her experiences as a student herself. The experince was fun and there was no uneasiness at all.
Good post Allen! And soon enough, there will be little to no uneasiness about being on campus. I am really glad that you picked some ideas as well as had fun.
