Many weekends ago, in early October on a Sunday, I got out of bed many hours earlier than I usually do. I threw out my plans of sleeping late on the weekend to go participate as a cheering person on the sidelines for a breast cancer walk. Due to the cold, as well as how tired I was, I did not particularly enjoy being there. I give credit to those people who did get up early on a Sunday to go out and walk, because I thought “wow, that is respectable, for them to be awake and moving on a weekend morning. It shows they care.” Breast Cancer is an important issue, so even though I didn’t walk, I figure that because I at least put in the effort to wake up that early and go cheer on those who decided to do the walk, I did something to help.
