Blood drive- student life

The blood drive was really cool. I thought it was really nice that Baruch offered an opportunity like that to their students to help make a difference in someone’s life. At first I was a little confused with all the questionnaire and stuff. I wasnt sure if they would actually let me donate blood since I had recently traveled to Africa not too long ago, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I filled out the forms, I waited in the line, and I was screened by one of the representatives. In the end, I was right they rejected me because of my recent travel saying that it means my blood could be at risk for infection, even though I knew I wasn’t sick because it had been over six weeks and I think by then I would have had some symptoms. Nonetheless, in the end, I still felt that I had done the right thing by trying, and they still signed my book for making the effort and they offered me cookies and juice even though I hadn’t given a y blood which was kind of cool I guess…cookies and juice are always nice.
