Mercedes Matter- Arts at Baruch

Mercedes Matters was at first a very disappointing workshop because you had to wait forever to get in. I wasn’t even sure of what to expect to see inside. Once it was finally my groups turn, and we were let in, I was kind of able to understand why they only took small groups at a time.  It was a small mini gallery, which held some of Mercedes Matters most famous paintings from the time she was a young girl at age nine up until a few years before her death. Mercedes was an abstract painter, and on that day, I came to realize that I don’t like abstract paint.
