Perspectives on immigration was an interesting lecture, although there were a lot of statistics to keep up with. It turned out to be a little bit different from what I thought it was going to be. I was expecting to hear a discussion on immigrants in a much more general sense. The professor also mainly focused on Mexican immigrants. Probably because that’s what he’s done most of his case studies on but it would have been a bit more interesting to hear a little bit about some of the other immigrant ethnic groups in America.
