The workshop I attended today (9/17) was the Library Basics workshop located in the Newman Library. It ran from 12:45 pm to 1:15 pm. The purpose of this workshop was to show students how to access their Baruch Usernames in the libraries, how to check reserved items for classes, study guides for particular majors, and the Ask-A-Librarian function where you can communicate with a Librarian if you are stuggling somewhere on the way to access a book or document. This workshop is very helpful for students who do not know how to use the computers in the libraries. I would recommend this workshop to the other classmates in my Freshman Seminar class. I didn’t know any of the things the workshop taught us, so now I have a better understanding of how the library works.
