Library Tour

On Tuesday we went for a library tour at 12:30pm. There was a bit of confusion but we all made it. Having been to the library almost every one of my breaks, I thought this this tour wouldn’t be helpful to me. However, in addition to the things I already knew, I learned knew things as well. I never went up the stairs in the library so the tour showed me more places to sit, study quietly, go online, and sleep. I also learned where to rent laptops and calculators. When I went to the library workshop for academic enrichment, I was told to go to the circulation desk for computers and calculator rentals. Now I’m told to go to this reference desk so I’m guessing the tour helped save me time from going to the circulation desk only to have them send me there. We also went over what was on the other floors. (Bursar, FAFSA, BCTC,etc,. )  This tour was moderately helpful. Sometimes we had to correct Jahn but the point of a tour is to learn and anyone is open to learn. I wish we had a tour throughout the inside of Baruch or at least some information of what Baruch had to offer during out freshman orientation.  I could have saved a lot of money borrowing textbooks and a calculator. Yet if freshmen knew about  these perks, when we would try to sell our textbooks, it may not be so great for us.
